Chicken Nugget Sandwiches

Chicken Nugget Sandwiches

Make your own Chicken Nugget Sandwiches. A kid-friendly and fun twist on a classic sandwich. I came up with this on a whim, and the family loved these, as they are good. For the additional items, you anything you like, this is just a guide as to what I used. The original plan was to use dinner rolls, that did not work out as the rolls that were delivered were the larger soft rolls, but no loss there, just use more nuggets per roll. I think this would be a great meal to prepare with the help of your children, as they can assemble them any way they want, and dinner rolls would be perfect.

Chicken Nugget Sandwiches

Cook time: 15 Min  Prep time: 5 Min  Serves: As many as you like
Ingredients
1 pkg soft rolls, or dinner rolls, or even hamburger buns
chicken nuggets, figure 1 nugget for each small roll, and 3 nuggets for average rolls, and 1-2 sandwiches per serving (i made 6 sandwiches and used 18 nuggets)
ranch dressing, i made mine from a packet with mayo and milk
butter, as needed to toast the rolls
ADDITIONAL ITEMS, AS DESIRED
lettuce
cheese slices, your choice
dill pickle slices
sweet pickle relish
Directions
1. Fry the nuggets in a non stick pan until crispy, remove to paper towels to drain.
2. Split each roll in half, butter the cut sides. Heat a non stick pan on medium heat, when hot, place the rolls, buttered side down and toast until browned. Work in batches if needed.
3. On the bottom rolls, spread Ranch dressing as desired, I topped one with lettuce and one with sweet pickle relish, the top with nuggets. I used 3 nuggets per roll.
4. Spread more Ranch dressing on top of the nuggets.
5. Top with a slice of cheese. I was going to use sliced Gouda I had in the fridge, that was dried out so went with the back up of processed cheese slices that we have on hand for the family when they make grilled cheese sandwiches.
6. Top with the top bun, serve and enjoy.
